Scorpio Season (2019) follows its protagonist through a night in the club, which stretches until the sunrise of the following day. She speaks to and about another woman she encounters again, and together they move through the night. The work explores the fragility of club encounters and the difficulty of truly grasping them, despite their intensity.

The piece consists of a text and an acid house set, recorded live in a Berlin club where the artist worked for a gay party series. During the performance, the set is repeatedly turned down, making the music sound muffled and distant – as if coming from an adjoining room, like the toilet or cloakroom. This acoustic manipulation enhances the sense of both distance and intimacy, turning the music into a continuous rhythm of the night.

The text flows over the set, interrupted by the pulsating beats that accompany the moment. The distorted soundscape blends with the protagonist's memories and thoughts as she describes her encounter with the other woman. In this atmosphere, the boundaries between memory and present blur, and the night in the club becomes a space where time and distance dissolve.

Scorpio Season examines the fleeting connections within club culture and the physical and emotional intensity of such experiences. The text conveys an almost tangible closeness between the two women, while the music deepens the sense of timelessness and dissolution. The line between memory and present fades, and the night appears as an endless moment of passion and loss.

Sie spricht zu und über eine andere Clubgängerin, die sie wiedertrifft, und gemeinsam bewegen sie sich durch die Nacht. Die Arbeit thematisiert die Fragilität von Clubbekanntschaften und die Schwierigkeit, diese trotz ihrer Intensität wirklich zu fassen.

Die Arbeit setzt sich aus einem Text und einem Acid-House-Set zusammen, das live in einem Berliner Club aufgenommen wurde, in dem die Künstlerin für eine schwule Partyreihe arbeitete. Während der Performance wird das Set immer wieder heruntergedreht, sodass die Musik dumpf und entfernt klingt – wie aus einem Nebenraum, etwa der Toilette oder der Garderobe. Diese akustische Manipulation verstärkt das Gefühl von Distanz und Intimität zugleich und lässt die Musik als kontinuierlichen Rhythmus der Nacht erscheinen.
